Hi, Author!

Thank you for writing for me! I hope you have an amazing Yuletide, full of good fic! First of all, optional details are very much optional. If you have a different idea that you're dying to write, or if you don't feel like going in the direction of any of those prompts, don't worry!

The only things that are hard nos for me are graphic rape (or rape used as a plot device), gore or very excessive violence, like detailed torture. Dubcon and impaired consent (sex pollen, drugged/drunk, fuck or die...) are okay, and I very much enjoy them.

I have a complicated relationship with A/B/O, mpreg, and classically established BDSM, since they tend to come with some inherent assumptions regarding relationship roles and power dynamics always focused in one partner’s submission that don't really work for me. If you do want to use those, I would prefer something that deconstructs those tropes a little.

 

Other than that, I'm fine with with anything you wish to write. Any rating, categories (m/m, f/m, f/f), gen, poly relationships…

I have a preference for positive ending, but I enjoy any level of angst before we reach the end and I don't require it to be Hollywood!happy at all. UST and pining are great! I love AUs and fic tropes. Woke up married, surprise baby, mind meld, fake dating, kidfic...

In terms of kink, I really enjoy rushed and desperate sex, exhibitinism/voyerism, public or semi-public sex, fuck-buddy relationships, taking someone apart until they are overwhelmed with sensations, and anything relating to inadvisable sex (inappropriate person, inappropriate situation, inappropriate relationship, cheating, age difference, sleeping with an ex...). This is not an exhaustive list, so no worries if you want to head in a different direction.

I ship Damen/Laurent together like there’s no tomorrow. Their relationship is extremely entertaining and what made the books so much fun for me. I love how smart and capable Laurent can be and how naïve and unprepared Damen manages to be even having grown up in court his entire life. Boy doesn't have one sneaky bone in his very big, very nice, body.

I would love a fic exploring what comes next for them after the book ends. How they manage to navigate both courts, and specially the Akielon court, since it's a place where Laurent doesn't know the rules of engagement (and I bet Damen is of absolute no use regarding plotting in Akielos either). Something exploring how they go about finding a heir would also be great! Just avoid mpreg, please.

I would also love any AU that transports their dynamic to another setting, be it a modern AU, in the book's universe, or something else completely. How their initial rivalry and power imbalance would work without the initial setup of Captive Prince. If possible, I would prefer to avoid "Auguste lives and they met while they are both crown princes" AUs, mostly because fandom has explored this option a lot already. It's completely okay for Auguste to be alive if you use some other setup, I just wish to see they having some reason to not see eye to eye from day one, since I really appreciate the messed-up dynamic between them.

The Dragon | Sarkan

I don’t have a specific request in mind here. I love the tone of the book and its world-building, the way it feels like a folk tale, a story that is familiar and weird at the same time. I will enjoy anything based on it, set before or after canon, following the book's plot, or any kind of AU (in the book's universe or not).

I love how the book portraits duty, loyalty and sacrifice (particularly self-sacrifice), be it for people they love or for a higher cause. Their willingness to put themselves between an unimaginable terror or danger and what they treasure most is what attract me to these three characters. Be it Kasia's willingness to stay in the valley and prepare herself to be the Dragon’s choice, the way Agnieszka risks her own safety in the hope of saving her village before she even knows her own power, or the way Sarkan isolates himself from court as the guardian of the Wood.

Agnieszka is amazing, and her relationship with Kasia is my favourite thing in the book. The way they are both so loyal to each other, and actually like and admire one another, flaws and changes and all. The scene where Agnieszka purges Kasia after rescuing her from the Wood, with them seeing each other completely, is one of my favorites. I would love anything featuring them.
 

Shipping-wise, I’m okay with any combination of these characters. I would love any exploration of Agnieszka/Kasia/Sarkan, but I’m also here for Agnieszka/Kasia, Agnieszka/Sarkan, or even Kasia/Sarkan.

Peter Grant

I ship Peter and Nightingale together, but that is not a Must Have. I'm okay with fic exploring their non-romantic relationship, and including any other canon ships you want. We are all probably getting Jossed before December, so feel free to do anything you feel like here.

I would love something exploring Nightingale's character, his past and how he worked and survived before Peter, as well as how Peter's presence changed this and how they managed to find a balance. A look into their interactions with the many other supernatural entities of London, from river gods to weirder stuff, is also very welcome.

If you do wish to go in a shippy direction, I would really enjoy something approaching their relationship from a sex first/feelings later perspective. They constantly work in a high-adrenaline environment, live together, and can't really share what they see with someone they just met in a bar. That is bound to lead to some impulsive decisions on both parts! I would also appreciate anything that take into consideration how long Nightingale has been alone, what that means for him and for anyone having any kind of relationship with him.
